Azure goes wrong through scope: role assignments made at subscription or management group level reach far more than the person granting them intended.

Access reviews cover the IAM principals attached to it, and the risk register carries the mapping between the asset and the risks it actually carries — so a public bucket is a named risk against a named asset, not a line item in a scan report.

What Azure permissions does Konfirmity need?

Konfirmity registers an application granted the Reader and Security Reader roles at the scope you choose, usually management group. Reader alone misses Defender findings, which is why Security Reader is included. Remediation permissions are granted separately and per action, never as a blanket Contributor assignment.

Does Konfirmity track Azure app registration secret expiry?

Yes, and it is one of the more valuable things we do here. Expiring client secrets cause outages, and outages cause rushed replacements with weaker settings. Konfirmity tracks every app registration credential and certificate against its expiry date so rotation is planned rather than reactive.
