Secure your Notion surface

Pages published to the web, guest access across the workspace, and policies living somewhere nobody controls. We don’t connect to Notion to collect evidence for its own sake — we connect to secure it, and the compliance artefacts follow from that work.

[01] What This Surface Exposes

Where Notion goes wrong

Notion goes wrong through publishing: a page published to the web for convenience is indexed by search engines and stays that way.

  • Pages published to the public web, indexed by search engines
  • Guests with access spanning far more than the page they were invited to
  • Integrations with workspace-wide read access
  • Policy and procedure documents edited without version control or approval
  • Databases holding customer or employee data without classification

[02] What We Secure

What we watch, catch and fix on Notion

On Notion we inventory published pages against what is meant to be public, which is the single most common exposure here.

  • Published page inventory checked against what is meant to be public — this is the single most common exposure here
  • Guest access scope reviewed page by page
  • Integration token scope audited
  • Policy document change tracking so your controls have a real approval trail
  • Database content classified

[03] Where It Lands

Where Notion lands in your registers

Workspaces and document stores enter the asset register with a data classification that reflects what is genuinely inside them rather than what policy says should be. Access reviews cover external members, guests, and link-based sharing alongside internal permissions. The risk register carries data exposure risk with the specific sharing configuration that creates it.

[04] How We Engage

On Notion specifically

On Notion, we unpublish exposed pages, remove stale guests, and revoke over-scoped integrations. Restructuring the workspace permission model we plan with your team.

Platform licence

Everything you need to find and fix it yourself, with no ceiling on the depth of the answer.

  • Every connected tool monitored for misconfiguration and drift, with findings mapped to the assets and risks they affect
  • Remediation guidance that tells you what is wrong and exactly how to fix it — however deep or awkward the issue is. We are engineers running a security company, so the answer is the real one, not a link to vendor documentation
  • Assets, access reviews, and risk register populated from the tools themselves rather than from spreadsheets
  • Unlimited integrations and unlimited users, with anything missing built within two weeks

Managed service

Every tool you connect through Konfirmity comes under our care, with our team doing the work.

  • Continuous misconfiguration and drift monitoring across every connected tool, watched by our analysts rather than by a dashboard waiting for you
  • Incident response led by us, with containment coordinated with your team
  • Remediation performed directly wherever you have granted us the authority to act — and where we cannot act, we project-manage the fix to completion rather than handing you a ticket
  • Decision support on the tools themselves: where something is failing you on capability or costing more than it returns, we will tell you, and help you replace it

[05] Notion FAQs

What Notion access does Konfirmity need?

Konfirmity needs an internal integration token with read access to the pages and databases you share with it, plus admin API access for workspace-level settings. We read sharing state and structure rather than page content.

Can Notion hold our policies as audit evidence?

It can, provided changes are tracked and approvals are recorded. Notion's default editing model makes it easy to change a policy without any approval trail, which is precisely what an auditor will test. We help you close that gap rather than assuming the tool handles it.
