Secure your Personio surface
Employee records and lifecycle events, with access scoped to what each role genuinely needs. We don’t connect to Personio to collect evidence for its own sake — we connect to secure it, and the compliance artefacts follow from that work.
Book a Demo[01] What This Surface Exposes
Where Personio goes wrong
Personio goes wrong at offboarding: a checklist marked complete is not evidence that access was actually removed anywhere.
- Roles granting visibility of salary and personal data across the whole organisation
- Offboarding checklists completed without verification that access was actually removed
- API credentials with broad read access to personal data
- Document categories holding sensitive records without retention rules
- Absence and health-related data accessible beyond HR
[02] What We Secure
What we watch, catch and fix on Personio
On Personio we verify offboarding against the connected systems themselves rather than against the checklist.
- Role-based visibility reviewed against data minimisation requirements
- Offboarding completion verified against the systems themselves rather than the checklist
- API credential scope tracked
- Document retention aligned to policy
- Special-category data access restricted and monitored
[03] Where It Lands
Where Personio lands in your registers
HR data is what makes access review meaningful: every entitlement across every connected system is reconciled against the people who actually work here, so a leaver with live access is a finding within hours rather than at the next quarterly review. The asset register records the HR platform as a critical dependency holding significant personal data, and the risk register carries both the insider risk and the data protection exposure that comes with it.
[04] How We Engage
On Personio specifically
On Personio, we verify offboarding against connected systems and drive gaps to closure. Role and permission redesign we plan with your HR team.
Platform licence
Everything you need to find and fix it yourself, with no ceiling on the depth of the answer.
- Every connected tool monitored for misconfiguration and drift, with findings mapped to the assets and risks they affect
- Remediation guidance that tells you what is wrong and exactly how to fix it — however deep or awkward the issue is. We are engineers running a security company, so the answer is the real one, not a link to vendor documentation
- Assets, access reviews, and risk register populated from the tools themselves rather than from spreadsheets
- Unlimited integrations and unlimited users, with anything missing built within two weeks
Managed service
Every tool you connect through Konfirmity comes under our care, with our team doing the work.
- Continuous misconfiguration and drift monitoring across every connected tool, watched by our analysts rather than by a dashboard waiting for you
- Incident response led by us, with containment coordinated with your team
- Remediation performed directly wherever you have granted us the authority to act — and where we cannot act, we project-manage the fix to completion rather than handing you a ticket
- Decision support on the tools themselves: where something is failing you on capability or costing more than it returns, we will tell you, and help you replace it
[05] Personio FAQs
What Personio access does Konfirmity need?
Konfirmity needs aPI credentials with read access to employees and attendance status, limited to the fields access review requires. Personio holds significant special-category data, so we scope tightly and document exactly which attributes we read.
How do you verify offboarding actually happened?
We verify offboarding actually happened by checking the target systems. A completed checklist records intent; querying Okta, AWS and your other connected tools for that person's live access records reality. Where they disagree, the systems win and we raise a finding.
