Secure your Asana surface

Public project links, guest sprawl, and task content holding data nobody classified. We don’t connect to Asana to collect evidence for its own sake — we connect to secure it, and the compliance artefacts follow from that work.

[01] What This Surface Exposes

Where Asana goes wrong

Asana goes wrong through attachments: contracts, customer data and credentials accumulate in tasks with no classification.

  • Projects shared via public links accessible without authentication
  • Guests retained across projects long after their engagement
  • Personal access tokens with full account scope
  • Task attachments holding contracts, customer data, and credentials
  • Organisation-wide project visibility set by default

[02] What We Secure

What we watch, catch and fix on Asana

On Asana we classify attachment content and reconcile guest access against your vendor records.

  • Public link inventory across projects
  • Guest lifecycle reconciled against vendor records
  • Token scope and age tracked
  • Attachment content classified
  • Default visibility reviewed against your data policy

[03] Where It Lands

Where Asana lands in your registers

Trackers become asset register entries in their own right, because a ticket system holding incident detail, credentials, and customer data is a sensitive system. Access reviews cover project permissions and external collaborators. The risk register draws its remediation status directly from ticket state, so an overdue finding is visible as an overdue risk rather than as a stale spreadsheet row.

[04] How We Engage

On Asana specifically

On Asana, we revoke public links and remove stale guests. Workspace permission model redesign we scope with your team.

Platform licence

Everything you need to find and fix it yourself, with no ceiling on the depth of the answer.

  • Every connected tool monitored for misconfiguration and drift, with findings mapped to the assets and risks they affect
  • Remediation guidance that tells you what is wrong and exactly how to fix it — however deep or awkward the issue is. We are engineers running a security company, so the answer is the real one, not a link to vendor documentation
  • Assets, access reviews, and risk register populated from the tools themselves rather than from spreadsheets
  • Unlimited integrations and unlimited users, with anything missing built within two weeks

Managed service

Every tool you connect through Konfirmity comes under our care, with our team doing the work.

  • Continuous misconfiguration and drift monitoring across every connected tool, watched by our analysts rather than by a dashboard waiting for you
  • Incident response led by us, with containment coordinated with your team
  • Remediation performed directly wherever you have granted us the authority to act — and where we cannot act, we project-manage the fix to completion rather than handing you a ticket
  • Decision support on the tools themselves: where something is failing you on capability or costing more than it returns, we will tell you, and help you replace it

[05] Asana FAQs

What Asana access does Konfirmity need?

Konfirmity needs a personal access token or service account with read access to workspaces, projects and memberships. That covers sharing state, guest access and attachment inventory.

Why do public project links matter?

Because they are unauthenticated and permanent until revoked. A project shared publicly to brief an external party stays open long after that engagement ends, along with every task and attachment added since.
